High Wire Act/ Comcast thy name is sloth

I detest Comcast. It has been a week since we lost service and they just don't care a flying dvr. I waited today in my "window of service" (who gets away with that but them??) and when it was a no-show and I called for help. They said maintenance had come and gone, leaving me with just a message on my phone. THE PHONE THAT DOES NOT WORK WHICH THEY WERE COMING TO FIX.  Service reps did not own up to this blunder at any time. Or my earlier call which I had tracking numbers for. Instead they acted like I was a crazed nuisance and it was all my fault. I was a bit crazed as I had foreseen this issue and called ahead three times to make sure they used the right number, knew when and where. I called local. I called national. Comcast as a company is like Lenny in of Mice and Men, a dumb brute that must be put down for its own good.
I love the "heart" the gazillion channels, movies, stuff for my kid) but it has to go. Direct TV here we come.

The wierd coda to this story is that Comcast customer service is horriffic everywhere except, get this, on twitter! There they responded to my crys into the "social sphere" immediately. Then the calls came back all friendly. Lenny said he was so sorry and would be out to strangle my puppies later today...I can't wait.

It Is Hammer Time!

Forgive me for starting out posted the same stupid header I am sure everyone is using for this story. None of us can help ourselves...

Today it was announced serial criminal, long time lush, exterminator, slut, liar, thief, and utterly deranged former house majority whip for the uber corrupt faction of the Repubs - Tom Delay - will be showing up on the popular reality show Dancing with the Stars. Delay will be starring in season 9 alongside F-listers like the pathetic baby faced washed up momo Donnie Osmond and doomed Kelly Osborne, spawn of spaz-metal god Ozzy . The list includes high-class sexafunkster singer Macy Gray too! Macy, girl, whats the deal!

All I can think is this show pays a whole hell of a lot and must get gigantor ratings. I have never watched it. Which is saying a lot because if you know me or as you will learn from reading future posts here on my new "media rant watch blog", I will watch just about anything and I mean ANYTHING on TV. Rhinos pooping, Geraldo, 20/20, CNN - see, anything.

I know the gals on the View panel flog this stupid Danicing show all the time, so it must be big on their network, ABC, and probably nearly as lame as their predictable so called political banter has become as of late. (I used to watch the View but only when Rosy O'Donnell was pontificatin' in her full "out" and proud arts and crafty glory. At least she was real.)

Now Wikipedia isn’t the best place to research people (though frankly it is probably as good and fair as any encyclopedia I used as a kid), anyway, just read Delay's bio on Wikipedia. This is one seriously evil pigbuffer. I have no doubt he is hooked up with the "Family", no not the light weight Manson crew, but the long term heavy weights of the power seeking crazy right wing Christen Klan who operate that house over on C street.

Hollywood and Washington DC. These cities have a lot in common.
