High Wire Act/ Comcast thy name is sloth

I detest Comcast. It has been a week since we lost service and they just don't care a flying dvr. I waited today in my "window of service" (who gets away with that but them??) and when it was a no-show and I called for help. They said maintenance had come and gone, leaving me with just a message on my phone. THE PHONE THAT DOES NOT WORK WHICH THEY WERE COMING TO FIX.  Service reps did not own up to this blunder at any time. Or my earlier call which I had tracking numbers for. Instead they acted like I was a crazed nuisance and it was all my fault. I was a bit crazed as I had foreseen this issue and called ahead three times to make sure they used the right number, knew when and where. I called local. I called national. Comcast as a company is like Lenny in of Mice and Men, a dumb brute that must be put down for its own good.
I love the "heart" the gazillion channels, movies, stuff for my kid) but it has to go. Direct TV here we come.

The wierd coda to this story is that Comcast customer service is horriffic everywhere except, get this, on twitter! There they responded to my crys into the "social sphere" immediately. Then the calls came back all friendly. Lenny said he was so sorry and would be out to strangle my puppies later today...I can't wait.
